Ekklesia Hall

Ekklesia Hall is about 7 m wide, 32 m long, with a lateral wall height of 2.4 m and a height at the vault apex of about 3 m. The space was created by excavating the earth between the foundation walls of the Metropolitan Cathedral, making the foundation visible through viewing windows at the level of niches in the side walls.

This versatile space also houses the Chapel of "Saint Hierarch Iosif the Merciful," where the Divine Liturgy is constantly celebrated, as well as an exhibition space for courses and concerts.

The theme illustrated in this space is the Holy Sacraments and rituals in the life of a person through objects used during their celebration.

The Holy Sacraments are sacred acts established by Christ and performed by the Church, through its bishops and priests, to impart divine grace to the receiver. The Seven Holy Sacraments are: Baptism, Chrismation, Repentance, Communion, Priesthood, Marriage, and Unction.
