📍 Baptistery Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Iași
📅 Open to the public from January 30 to December 31, 2025
The Metropolitan Museum of Iași invites you to immerse yourself in the deeply spiritual and artistic atmosphere of Romanian medieval times through the exhibition “Testimonies of Medieval Art from Iași – The Frescoes of the ‘Saints Three Hierarchs’ Monastery.”
Organized in partnership with the “Saints Three Hierarchs” Monastery, the exhibition presents valuable fragments from the original frescoes of one of the most emblematic places of worship in Iași. These frescoes, silent witnesses to a time of rich cultural and spiritual effervescence, offer a rare glimpse into the iconography, artistic style, and religious sensibility of the 17th century.
This event provides a unique opportunity to closely admire these mural paintings, recovered, restored, and showcased in a dedicated exhibition space. They tell the story of faith, craftsmanship, and the continuity of an artistic tradition that has shaped the face of Moldavian Orthodoxy.
We warmly invite you to rediscover the beauty of medieval sacred art and to enjoy an encounter with these visual treasures preserved through the centuries.
